Project Overview

The Smart Building Awareness Gateway is developed for largescale public building’s operation and management. The gateway supports a network of a good amount of data collecting indoor IoT sensors devices. We help the customer with ID design, software and hardware development, and prototyping verification.

Innovation Consulting

IoT gateway is an equipment to connect IoT devices, systems, sensors and cloud. It is used for protocol conversion and data collection. The customer use FNI designed gateway on location-based applications that include personnel mapping and room temperature monitor.

Industrial Design

FNI designs with clean and smart guideline. For the gateway outer case, we used brown alumina process to give it a professional and hi-tech looks and feel. Our design also delivers a strong and heat dissipation product. Through product market research and analysis, we adjusted the hardware layout to make the dimension more reasonably, therefore, improved the spacing internally.

Software and Hardware Development

The Smart Building Awareness Gateway featuring the following hardware that selected by FNI: A high-performance processor, Gigabit Ethernet port, RS485, RS232, USB2.0/3.0, 4G NIC, COMLine, etc. We use Linux as the gateway’s operating system. It supports MQTT, ModbusRTU and other protocol stacks. It provides accurate sensor data acquisition, efficient format conversion, and reliable networking. It is a solid system that will work effectively for future data analysis and decision-making.
