Project Overview

This is a healthcare wearable device FNI designed and developed for hospital. The hospital uses it to record patient’s movement posture, blood oxygen levels, heart rate, and other health index data. By analyzing data collected from the six-axis gyroscope, it can identify sluggish and tremors in patient’s behavior. Therefore, it can help to screen and provide early warning for neurodegenerative diseases.

The client requested that the product needed to reflect two key points:

1.To show the healthcare characteristic and the reliability; 2. To focus on the user's comfort and convenience to wear.

Industrial Design

To enhance the user experience, the product is made of medical-grade materials. The watch band is designed into a removable split mode to make it easy for replacement. In water resistant, the device is designed at IPX5 level which fit for people’s daily life.

Software and Hardware Development

The monitor is designed for specific patient group. We made special design to minimize the tremor caused difficulty and make the device easier for patients to wear and operate.

To integrate blood oxygen sensor, body temperature sensor, and 9-axis gyroscope require higher technical capabilities. To ensure the monitor operates in long duration, we’ve taken two approaches:

1.Selected low-power development platform; 2. Implemented time interval for data transmission.
