Project Overview
These IoT Series Products is developed for the hospital to monitor patient’s borborygmus (bowel sound). The system has four devices: a bowel sound monitor, an infusion monitor, a smart armband, and a smart belt buckle. A list of advance medical practices has been integrated into the system. This system monitord various physiological index of patients and upload real time data to the doctors' IoT work platform. It has greatly improved the healthcare efficiency and reduces the risk of medical incidents.

Innovation Consulting
By studying existing practices and various applicable technologies, we uncovered key issues and challenges in the productization process and identified opportunities for product innovation. By using the research data, we define a clear design boundary that included product appearance, functionality, technical features, human-machine interaction, CME (Customer Machine Experience), manufacturing processes, and the costs to build the product.
Industrial Design
FNI has done numerous medical/healthcare related product ID design. Based on the functionality, we’ve done the following: The Bowel Sound Monitor is divided into a main unit and a sound transmission part. It features a detachable design to make it easy to use. The Infusion Monitor utilizes a magnetic buckle for secured attachment. The Smart Armband and belt buckle are made from medical-grade, skin-friendly materials for safe and comfortable wear. Additionally, our team has meticulously designed the pipeline connection for the Bowel Sound monitor to ensure the detachability and airtightness.
Software and Hardware Development
In the product development phase, our software and hardware teams validated various specifications and integrated them into the engineering process. Through software development, we have enabled wireless data upload of sound signals collecting by the devices, enhancing the diversity of usage scenarios for the products.
