Innovation Consulting
To fully meet the user's customization requirements, FNI adopted a design that the components can be selected and combined flexibly by following some defined guideline. The design also focused on the connectors that connect each component. The proper connection help avoid damage risk therefore keep the components under operational condition.
The product is applicable for a wide range of scenarios and user groups. To meet the customer's publicity needs, establish and disseminate the corporate image, the appearance of the product needs to meet the customer's brand PI embodiment. The product is designed lightweight. It can be carried and transported easily. A AIoT Development Training Kit contents numerous components and a variety of components modules. For mass production, it demands agile manufacturing and high precision assembly ability.
Industrial Design
The FNI design team studied and extracted the PI of Xiaomi brand and chose the the color commonly used by the enterprise as the main color for the product. By integrating the runway circle cutting elements and use the concave design inside of the case, the team realized a clear division of the areas. It gave the product a sense of hierarchy and contrast and shaped a simple and generous form. In addition, we used lightweight materials and removed complex designs to ensure the lightweight and portability of the product. The brand logo was set in the mainframe, sub-panel, shell and other areas of the product to strengthen the brand image. The color differentiation, serial number labeling, shape design and other ways to meet the user's requirements for rapid and accurate identification of different types and models of sub-panels.
Software and Hardware Development
In this rarely seen product, FNI researched the requirements thoroughly to come up with a “blocks” system design. The system is composed by several key block modules. Each block module is a well-defined subsystem. Each subsystem has clearly defined connections between each other.
With the compatibility and performance in mind, our hardware team selected and integrated proper ICs for each different module. A comprehensive design document is prepared to detail the communication, cognition, and sensing requirements. It has also laid a solid foundation for future maintenance and upgrade. The kit is designed with the ability to connect and communication with Mi app.
Product Manufacturing
FNI has built a top-grade supply chain. In our factory, we use high-end manufacturing equipment and advanced processing technology to ensure the smooth production. The AIoT Development Training Kit has rolled out in some colleges and universities and is now in the mass production stage.
